A new era of corporate banking
What does it take to launch a banking product? Not just technical skills, talent, or careful planning. It takes exceptional communication - the kind where you don't just understand what your stakeholders are asking for, but why. The kind where you understand how every moving part in the system works: developers, product owners and managers, researchers, the Design System experts, marketing, and every other team involved throughout the journey. Then comes the challenge of elegantly juggling all those perspectives, priorities, and constraints to achieve one shared goal - happy customers.

In their words
If you're looking for someone who brings clarity, creativity, and calm to complex design work — Toty is that person. From day one, she’s stood out for her professionalism, sharp attention to detail, and the kind of proactive attitude every team dreams of.
She’s been instrumental in driving the design system for businessONLINE and its next version, ensuring everything feels consistent, polished, and on-brand. She brings a sense of ownership that makes you forget she’s not the product owner — that’s how invested she is.

What keeps a product like this consistent at scale?
Hundreds of screens, multiple teams, countless decisions, and people working across different disciplines. To keep everything aligned - not just today, but as the product continues to grow- we needed a shared system everyone could build from.

What System did I build?
Today, web and mobile design systems support 60+ standardized components, along with 1,500+ tokens for web and 2,400+ for mobile, creating a more scalable and consistent foundation for future product growth. One of the strongest indicators of the system’s impact has been component adoption across modules. In the last 30 days, the ENBD Business team recorded 44K+ component insertions from the shared library and 16K+ insertions from the local library, helping maintain consistency and reduce repetitive UI work across the product ecosystem. Scaled the Design System from 30 to 160 components and maintained 1.6K+ design tokens. Worked side by side with engineering leadership and developers to align design decisions with technical constraints and long-term scalability.

Where we started
At the start of the project, the Design System supported only a single theme and wasn't built to scale. As the platform expanded across products and brands, we needed a flexible, token-driven foundation that could support multiple themes, accelerate design and development, and allow new brands to be introduced without rebuilding components.

How did I raise the quality?
Reviewed 100+ features across multiple product teams, ensuring Design System compliance. Led Design System audits, mentoring 10+ designers through actionable feedback. Established a structured review and merge process with the Design System Ambassadors.
Each audit gave designers a clear picture of what needed attention.

We weren't just finding and fixing problems. I was tracking improvement over time, while the plugin gave the team a clear way to see progress.

Helping teams build better
Mentoring designers through recurring audits, workshops, and hands-on feedback.

Design doesn't end at Figma.
Working closely with developers to bring the Design System to life in Storybook, keeping components consistent across design and implementation.
Designing the experience.
I designed end-to-end journeys across key product modules, worked closely with POs and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into intuitive solutions. Balanced user needs, business goals, and technical constraints.
